This position works under the general direction of the General Manager of KUNV and will help lead KUNV’s audio evolution, managing the overall tone of the broadcast station, creating a coherent and engaging experience for the audience, and shaping the future sound of public radio.
The person will ensure that KUNV programming on broadcast and live streaming platforms serve Southern Nevada communities, reflect diversity, and highlight our status as a local producing station as evidenced by audience reach and membership. The person will work with the on-air staff, volunteers and students to build workflows to enhance our on-air programming and community engagement. Public Radio KUNV is seeking a Social Media Producer to join our team to develop and implement initiative-level digital community strategy.
Lead community-building through social media channels, blogs and the web.
Manage development and implementation of a digital community strategy to engage a global audience and build Public Radio KUNV’s brand through the support of Rebel Media Group (RMG).
Responsible for management of digital channels.
Partner with internal stakeholders, such as RMG teams, and campus partners, to achieve program goals.
Ability to manage reputational issues, and other high priorities on digital channels.

Rotations between play-by-play announcers, color commentators, sideline reporting and engineering. Announcing teams will be created to include a play-by-play specialist and a color analyst, a sideline reporter and engineer.
Play-by-play announcers provide a description of the action, while color commentators provide expert analysis and opinion of the contest as it transpires. Sideline reporters work closer to the action and provide insight based on what they learn through their proximity to the contest. They also conduct interviews with athletes. Engineer monitors the broadcast that is aired over the KUNV signal.
