Tifani Tamayo was born in San Salvador, El Salvador and moved to Las Vegas when she was 8 years old. In November 2009, Tifani began the Latin Nights show on KUNV. Obsessed with music for as long as she can remember, Tifani says her upbringing in diverse environments plays a huge part in her broad musical taste. "I really can't help it, my spirit is just tuned to a bunch of different sounds."

Tifani graduated from UNLV's Broadcast Journalism program in 2011.
