B. Recruitment Activities .

The following FCC recommended recruitment activities were engaged in during the period covered by this Report.

1. Type of Activity: Participate in NSHE Work Services Program (scholarship), UNLV, August, 2007.

Description of Scope of Activity including Positions of Station personnel involved: KUNV was able to sponsor a scholarship through the NSHE Work Services Program. This program is a scholarship program designed to assist students in pursuing a career in broadcasting. KUNV offered a scholarship which would allow us to fill a position at KUNV of Community Relations Manager. JoAnn Kittrell, Director of Membership and Underwriting, oversees this program. The position was promoted through the UNLV student newspaper, Journalism and Media Studies Department, and other university “bulletin boards,” as well as with on-air announcements. Student applications were accepted, interviews were held and one student was selected as the scholarship receipient.
